GTMI
Committees
The GTMI has established four committees to ensure it’s able to deliver on its scope and remain fully independent and credible.
Technical Committee
The technical committee oversees all technical issues primarily related to the audit and certification process, including accreditation and training programmes.
It is made up of Board members and other technical experts and is supported by the Institute’s Chief Technical Officer.

Audit Committee
The committee assists the Board in hiring the financial auditor of the company, and assuring their independence. It independently reviews and monitors the integrity of the GTMI’s financial statements and the effectiveness of its systems of governance, risk, management and internal control.
The committee also oversees:
- The audit, review or compilation of financial statements
- Internal controls and related processes that assure the reliability of financial data
- The risk management processes

Compensation Committee
The committee’s primary purpose is to review and monitor the remuneration policy and its implementation, and determine and review the compensation of the Board members, Chief Executive Officer, committee members, executives and other senior managers of the GTMI.

Nominations and Governance Committee
The committee assists the Board with the nomination, election and appointment of board candidates, ensuring that the size, leadership and composition of the Board are appropriate. It also assists the Board in determining, overseeing and evaluating the adequacy of the governance structures, practices and policies of the GTMI.
