GISTM Implementation Feedback
Public Consultation Now Closed
The GTMI Technical Committee invites relevant organisations and individuals to provide feedback on their experience implementing and/or interacting with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and using the ICMM Conformance Protocols.
We welcome practical insights into where implementation is working well, where challenges have arisen, and which specific GISTM requirements would benefit from additional guidance, tools, training, or clarification.
It is not the GTMI’s intention to revise the GISTM. Rather, submissions will inform GTMI’s competence and conformance ecosystem and related guidance products.
The Technical Committee will review and prioritise the feedback and draft a Consultation Summary Report and Issue/Guidance Tracker outlining themes, examples, and recommendations. These will be presented to the GTMI Board.
Please include your reasoning and cite requirement numbers where possible.
